Gioconda was established in the UK in 2006 specifically to develop Desktop Signal Sighting tools for the UK rail market.
2015 saw our first project delivered to Australia and we have been actively working there since.
In the future we plan to deliver our services to more markets around the world by working with local partners.
History
In 2005, Network Rail saw the potential in our Driver Briefing work and offered a trial project to prove Desktop Signal Sighting capabilities.
Our previous experience included,
- Land and Engineering Surveying
- Virtual Reality/3d/4D Modelling
- Railway Filming
- Route Learner and Driver Briefing Material
- Graphic and Print Artwork
- Software Development
With the success of the Edinburgh Waverley trial project, Gioconda was formed.
We have grown from a three man team to a medium sized business of 10-15 people working on international projects.
The award of two NR framework contracts helped to establish the business as a primary source for UK Signal Sighting, and Driver Briefing and we have worked on some of the biggest and smallest projects in the UK and we pride ourselves on the quality, accuracy and efficiency of our services.
In 2013 we took the active decision to look for international projects and were assisted by the DIT (previously UKTI) to explore Europe and Australia.
We hope to repeat this success in locations and are keen to hear from any potential projects.
